Our Story
In the midst of a summer's day, amongst high grass teeming with bugs, beetles and crickets, Honee Bee was born to a pencil artist and a feather and ink master.
Honee Bee appeared spontaneously and lightly, as only bees and butterflies can, to tell stories to those who created it and those who befriended it. Honee Bee became a true friend, a joyful playmate, an encouraging helper, a Mother Nature's activist, a brave teacher, an outdoors' adventurer and a symbol of:
1. interconnectedness, cooperation and inclusiveness
2. work and education ethos
3. authenticity, simplicity and folklore
4. healthy eating, farming and wellbeing
5. caring and giving Mother Nature and fragility of Her harmony
From these pristine vision, location and moment, Honee Bee drew its inspiration to tell illustrated stories to children and not only.
Once all was clear, ready and purposeful, as if by magic, Dorota and Alessandro went to the orchard. Following an old custom, they gently knocked on a beehive and told the bees of the new beginning.
Our Mission
Honee Bee's mission is to bring joy, lots of colour and entertain as well as to teach and fire up imagination of the little ones. Honee Bee centres around our love for nature and a real need to protect it.
Honee Bee’s commitment is to be as versatile and inclusive as possible, in order to bring sparkles of magic and many smiles to the world. We welcome your feedback as you are an integral part of Honee Bee stories journey.
The illustrated stories, poems, chants and other forms of writing, will be published monthly. If you find them to your taste, we will look to publish them in a form of a book. We hope you find them of value.
