We had a long hot summer
And it was so much fun
I think it’s a bummer
School is where we now run,
But parents tell us we can still enjoy:
Learning new things about the world,
Making new friends, playing with toys,
Trying new skills, testing a new sport.
We can strap on roller skates
We can play football again,
Shoot hoops with our mates,
Drive out teachers with questions insane.
We will get so much taller this year
And definitely very smart.
We have all our school gear
Let's make it a great start!
