The Lure

Flowers tried to attract her to visit their heads,
So they made themselves into a meadow of scented petal beds.
She landed in their pollen, a sunny magical dust,
Enchanted, she took a bath in it, having a party, a blast.
The yellow powder covered her antennae to feet,
And she cheekily carried it over to the next flower seat.

That's how she spent her days each morning to dusk
Without worrying how long her party was going to last.
In the process, she pollinated five thousand and seventy
Changing the fragrant garden into a land of plenty.
For her hive, she collected pollen and nectar sweet,
And turned these into golden honey and propolis neat.
