Circle of Life

Hop, hop, jumped around a baby hare.
Hop, hop, a little here, a little there.
His brothers joined him in his happy play.
Soon the whole meadow was moving, hurray!

Their sisters added to everyone's step a spring,
By playing hopscotch, their favourite thing!
With so much laughter and games about,
Nobody noticed a thief, a robber, a lout.

A fox had an appetite for a tiny hare.
So he hid behind a bush here and behind a tree there.
Whilst the leverets played carefree as every spring,
He snatched one away without anyone noticing a thing!

You might feel sorrow for the little leveret,
But a fox has to live and it has to eat.
This is how the circle of life turns its wheel,
Today you eat, tomorrow you're eaten. What's the big deal?
